![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have a 93 GS and need some new tires on the rear of the car. I recently replaced two of the tires with Goodyear Eagle GA (tires started leaking) and now my other two tires are bald. However, I just looked at tirerack and it seems that there are much better tires than the goodyears. Is it okay to replace just two tires (rear ones) with a different brand/model? (I was thinking of getting the dunlop sp5000) Some have told me that as long as it matches on the axle it shouldn't be too bad, but is that true? I definitely need to replace two tires soon as it'll start snowing and i don't want to get stuck. thanks.

Yeah you're fine... As long as you're replacing the tires with the same size tires it makes no difference who makes them. The (what I would call problem) is that the tread pattern will be different as will the branding on the sidewalls. While this is purely cosmetic, remember that. Most people won't notice it anyway.
BTW, slide the front tires to the rear and put the new ones on the front.
