Why bother with a difficult swap when you can turbo your stock motor. Or swap in a PNP Aristo swap

LOL. Plug and Play

I don't know what it would take to 1j and 1st gen, but I would like to see it. Owning a 2j GS now, and used to have a 1j SC, the 1j is a lot cleaner looking motor in my opinion.

I've considered it as I have the 1JZ just sitting in my Supra right now chilling. It's down because of transmission issues so it's got me itching to do it. The hardest part would be the dash plugs but if you were able to use an Aristo harness and ECU that would take care of that. Just need to wire the injectors to work correctly.

That VVT motor looks nice in there. Nice to see something different. Tried and true is great but different is always an attention getter.

It fit in there pretty nicely, and from looking at other 1j swaps, the shifter sits back in a more natural position IMHO.

Where are the pics and write up on the swap. I'm sure DJZS147 and the rest of us could use the info.

Will start one up this evening, or this weekend, something like that. Im trying to have everything together by july 8th to take it up to the P.P.I.H.C. so iv been laid out in the garage pretty much every day doing something, and just spaced posting my work soo far on here. Still need to have my drive shaft made, clutch- pedal, slave, master, and line, installed, need is300 igniter,a 1UZ MAF, fuel pump, and the patience to sit down and extend 153 wires 30 inches
