Default Toyota parts for Lexus?

Since 93 GS is built on the Camry platform, would certain parts from Toyota be the same as Lexus?

In particular I am interested in A/C blow motor. Lexus wants like $200 for it. BTW, are parts prices really different between coasts (I am in NY)?

Thanks.

look #1 the GS is NOT built on the camry platform. and #2 if you go to the lexus parts department and order an oil filter the packaging will say TOYOTA, if order a tail light it will say TOYOTA, if you order anything it will come in TOYOTA packing.

THE LEXUS GS300 IS THE TOYOTA ARISTO.....NOT A TOYOTA CAMRY!!

I know, hehehe, it is not the platform. But if you look closely at the 93 camry, the body frame is very similar, just like the 2nd gen GS has a very similar body frame as the new Avalon.

My question does not pertain to performance/luxury parts and systems, but to trivial, mundane parts that might fit and possibly work the same.

your best bet is to get in contact with Steve Ganz from Carson Toyota....he's the parts guy. tell him what you need and he'll take care of you.......you can try PM'ing him at SUPRATRD.

actually i think the first gen is more like a toyota avalon more than anything. 2lexo is right. everything you buy for your car will be toyota. even your front windshield.

The Camry and 1st Gen GS are totally different. One is a FWD, the other is a RWD.

The blower motor might be the same. Maybe you can check the part numbers if they are the same...just a thought.
