Default (ait) Air Intake Temperature Sensor

what up:

dont know if it's just me but i wz trying to polish the valve cover ystrdy and for some reason, i unplug the ait sensor so i can also polisth my intake pipe. put everything back together but the sensor and i started the car. guess what? it would start, motor will just turn over but wont start....of course, stupid of me i forgot to plug the ait sensor back. i started the car again, now the "engine" lights goes on!!....so i said, ok.......all i need to do is to unplug the batter for 10 seconds and plug it back.

started the car again, engine light goes off and took a test drive.
man........is it just me or what? the car seemed to gain more bottom end pwr? i ***** you gus not!!...looked like i gain at least close to 10 horses!!...take off feels stronger than before.....

or maybe just my imagination..........he.he.he

but again, i wouldn't share with you guys with this kind of experiment....right?......he.he.h.he

dont try it if you're not sure what you're doing. i wouldnt be responsilbe fr your errors!!!.....h.eh.ehe

hey pat. when you unplug your battery you reset you ECU. maybe thats what caused your gain in power

that sensor acts like an ignition kill when you unplug it cuz
your car wont even start up....

most probably, the sensor is reading more air coming in with
aftermarket air filter....i never unplugged that sensor before..
oh well.......as long as it works.

for you guys who wants to try it out, good luck and have fun..
but it doesnt work, hey........dont blame me...
