My First Car! 1994 Lexus GS300
#17
Sorry for the delay, everyone! I've been so caught up in schoolwork for the past few days. Anyways, here's a few more pictures of the car!
Here are the new seats. They're heaps better than the original ones and the car doesn't smell after replacing them.
Here's the wooden trim and shifter that I still need to replace. Does anyone know where I can get a shifter with the OD button, or is there a way that I can use an aftermarket shifter and wire up the button to a switch?
My plans for the car is to get a kit for the car, lowered springs (or coilovers if I can get a quality set for a reasonable price), and some new rims. Later on, once I save up enough money, I want to drop in a GTE and we'll see where it goes from there. By the way, does anyone know what kit is on this car:

It's been a while, but I've been busy with schools and with AP testing coming up very soon, I doubt I'll have a lot of time to work on the car. My Lexus fell to the dreaded window trim defect and nearly broke off when I was on the highway. I was just driving when I heard something flapping and hitting the window, so I had to pull over and duct tape it. On the bright side, I found a silver GS300 at a junkyard called Dis & Dat, which had a few things I needed including the wooden shifter trim, the front driver's window and regulator, and the sunroof assembly. I know this isn't much progress, but hey, progress is progress. Sorry for the crappy iPhone pictures!
The trim is cracked all along the bottom, but it's much better than my old one.
Sunroof assembly and window regulator are going into the car on Friday! Until then, no one in the back seats. Stay tuned! After this, I plan on getting some SEM Landau Black interior dye and changing the interior to black. I can't stand the brown and tan scheme, but I'll probably leave the headliner tan. Also, Saturday, I should be getting a few LEDs to replace the footwells and the gauge cluster lights. I'll let you guys know how that goes.
