My trunk won't lock the latch won't close and release. So my ? Is can I fix the latch somehow or do I have to get a new trunk lid? Thank to any help.

Did you happen to slam the trunk? The bracket or latch might have bent a bit so it is not able to grab. Might be worth checking out.
