My new shift **** idea
ok there is maybe 1 aftermarket shiftknob out there which is levoc. well i got this crazy idea that i might go through with. i'm going to go buy a gucci bag and take it to the uplophery and have them cut up the bag and remove the old leather from my old shift **** and rewrap it in gucci. so i'm going to be using the stock shift **** except its going to be wrapped in gucci design like this.

Why waste your money on a Gucci bag? Just go to a fancy fabric store and you can pick probably any design or color you want and you'll get a lot more fabric for the same price.

seriuosly i don't think that's a good idea. these gucci purse material are a combination of plastic, may not feel right...or you can try holding or feeling the material to get a good idea...and pls. don't do it in public - unless it's a man bag lol. anyway have fun with the project and keep us posted. i take it you kept your digi cam?

Interesting mod but here in Detroit tons of people have down the Gucci, Lou, and Burberry wraps. From dashboards to steering wheels to door panels. In the Music industry it's real big right now expecially with the rag tops.
Actually if you go on E-bay and do a find on Gucci material you will find a ton of that stuff relatively cheap.
Some people put the on their Air Force ones and Tim's.

Sorry, personally not a big fan of the look.
Leather, ahh yeah. Wood, that's stylin cool. Metal - looks great but hot in summer. Carbon Fiber, yeah dude.
Gotta give props for the recovering the shifter idea, but Gucci?

Loves Snickerdoodles!
Sorry..
But I think the idea is kinda corny..go with something like carbon fiber, anodized metal (that gunmetal look) or stainless steel brushed. Just my 2 cents!
