Default Rough cold start problem, but idles fine once it's warm

So ever since around 2 weeks ago while the engine had a pretty bad misfire, everytime I go to start the car after it's been parked for more than 4 hours it will crank and backfire a couple times then I have to hold down the gas (if I don't, it turns right off) and I have to hold it at 2k rpms as it usually would on a normal cold start. After this everything is fine, I just changed the cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs, but all of that didn't fix the cold start problem. This started happening after I went to start it one day and the cold idle would be at 3.5k. This happened for two days and the problem started, I was aiming towards the engine temp switch, but then again I'm not sure. Idles fine and quietly, misfire was solved on sunday, now this is the only problem I have. If you know anything could you please chime in? Thanks!

So no one has any clue? So far my possible culprits could the ignition coil or maybe crank pos sensor, but the problem is that it only does it at cold starts, besides that it's completely fine and I don't want to just replace parts without knowing
