loss noise in sunroof
this problem just started today. when i have my sunroof tilted or closed and go over some bumps i hear a lot dinging and loose noise right above the driver seat. also when i knock on the ceiling in that area i hear the same noise. but when the sunroof is all the way back i don't hear anything. anyone know what the problem migh be?? i tried sticking my hand up there while knocking to see if i can feel anything loose and came up with nothing. my sunroof works fine.

Most likely a seal has gone bad. The certified Lexus body shop that I take my 94' GS to told me this is a problem with our cars as they get older.
-Here is what I reccomend you do:
Mix a solution of water and dish-washing detergent. Take a brush and spread some around the sunroof with the interior cover pulled back so nothing gets wet. Keep the sun-roof closed and drive. If you see bubbles formng from a certain area, that is where the leak is coming from.
Good Luck!

thanks for the suggestion but i don't think thats the problem. i think you misunderstood my post. its not wind noise or anything. it sounds like something metal is loose in the sunroof causing it to bang around when i hit a bump or when i knock against the ceiling
