Default Altenator Issue

Whats up CL. Can anyone give me some signs on a bad altenator. I think mine is on its way out. When i hit the brakes my dash lights flicker, even when my wippers are on my dash lights flicker, and when i signal or turn on my hazard lights my dash lights flicker. Also when i hit the brakes my headlights dim a bit. But everything works fine when my foot is on the gas. Help!!!

I had a similar issue with my 93 SC300 and replacing the negative battery cable fixed the issue. First thing you can try is to clean the grounding points. Just following the negative battery cable. Also check if there is any oil on it. Sometimes oil can leak from the distributor o-ring and onto the alternator causing it to go bad. If not, try having it tested to know for sure.
