No heat in my car!

How do you check relays?? How can I test the blower motor, could that be it?

Actually, the blower motor also has a control relay. If that relay went south... you get the idea. To check the control relay is a pain, as it's fairly complicated relay with 5 terminals as opposed to usual 2. Furthermore it's located under the blower assembly. To check the blower motor you need to remove it, then connect it to a power source (I guess the car battery) to see if it operates. Let me know if you wanna do it.
You can also talk to DevilDog, he is a Lexus mechanic.

The gauge temp is normal no problem there.
As far as removing the blower to check it I am guessing that is the problem so I realyl should, but if I remember correctly it is a major pain in the ***, but it needs to be done. Checing the motor would be easy, but I have no idea how to check a relay.

Good luck.

P.S. The blower motor removal seems pretty simple on paper. Let me know if you need instructions.

Here ya go, buddy. Let me know if removing it is easy, 'cuz I gotta replace my motor (bearing going bad) and I've just been putting it off.
BTW, do you have heated seats?

I will attempt to take it out some time this week. Yeah I hope it is somewhat easy. Maybe I'll be lucky and can test with without completely removing it. Yes, I have heated seats.

Well I couldn't figure it out so I had to take it in, and they say at least that it is indeed the blower motor. They said to order the Lexus one for $300, but I don't have the cash so AutoZone wants $90, is there that big of a difference for over $200? What would you guys do???? They are only charging me $90 labor for figuring out the problem as well as changing the motor. I thought that was damn good, but of course it wasn't the dealer tha charges you an arm and a leg.

BTW, which replacement motor would the AutoZone use? The Lexus/Toyota one? Please keep us informed, as my blower motor is starting to go bad and I will probably have to replace it before summer, as trying to cool down a hot car at "low" setting doesn't seem appealing to me.
Good luck.
