Default Looking to buy a 95' GS300 (pics)

I am looking into buying a 1995 Lexus Gs300. black in color w/ 105,xxx miles for. Seller is asking $5500 but willing to sell for $4500. Paint is still in good condition. Is this a good deal? Should I buy it? I am looking to do a VIP look on this. What are the pros and cons of this car? Thanks in advance for your help

That is toward the high end of the price range for these cars, and although the low miles is attractive, it is really all about condition. Pics seem to show exterior to be in good shape (the side moulding strip is not OE, and the wheels are from a gen2 GS) the interior seems a little raggedy for the mileage (stain on the rear center 'hump', pack of Marlboros on floor) Was it smoked in? I think you may still have some room to try to negotiate lower. Service records? Timing belt should have been done, or will be due. Check the suspension, struts and strut tops, bushings and ball joints, all can be expensive for these cars.

Pros? Famed 2JZ powered 'Aristo' perfect for VIP and high perf, inherent Toyota goodness

Cons, slow in stock form, sometimes expensive to repair and maintain (to a degree, dependant on your abilities and fetish for OE parts.

Question really is, what is its value to you?? (I will admit to a willingness to pay a little more for a desired color combination etc.)

Good Luck!

That car is not in good shape at all. The rear fenders seem to be rolled and look pretty beat up. Besides that, the asking price for that condition is ridiculous.

i recently decided not to sale the vehicle.. but heres the answers to some of the questions asked....

adult owned
belt was done at 69,???k miles
owned car for 7 months
"stain" on back hump is red dirt from childs shoes. has cleaned out nicely.. smoked in seldomly for a month.
car driven 4 miles round trip for 5 days a week when registered... hasnt been regsitered but driving to keep everything working
OEM parts replaced when needed
EVERYTHING on the vehicle worked but the antenna which im planning on replacing soon..
blows ice cold air and extra set of shocks and drop springs
brand new Pioneer dbl din touchscreen

i was trying to get rid of the 1 of 3 vehicles i own... but i have since got my enthusiasm back to getting it on the road and personally styled.... thank you for the insterest in the vehicle and hope you find what your wanting.... im looking for some lil parts for the interior atm and if i come across another GS ill text you.... PEACE
