Default strut tower brace

i remember attending the toyota/lexus meeting back last year, and i tried installing the TRD strut tower brace on our 1st gen gs.
the bolts on both sides are very identical, meaning thy fit the same holes but the only problem was the bar itself is a little bit long, like about 1.5 inch long. sucks, man........it bolts right on yet its kind of long.

TRD strut tower brace is very thick material. i wonder sometimes if you cut both sides, shaved a little, then weld it back somehow, you think it will perform or work the same?

i just want to get one, man. you guys know that we dont have any strut tower brace that will fit our cars here in the u.s.....unless someone is lying to me

What was the deal with the one from www.autonetperformance.com? Didn't it work? Also, it the brackets fit, maybe someone has a contact that can make the bars to the right size. Or attache an adjustable bar to the brackets.
