Question Help! Car running horribly.

Ok so I had the thermostat & water ump replaced bc of the car overheating and water in reservoir boiling. Had a non mechanic friend do it for me. After that, car has never been the same. It still would overheat so I did the blue devil treatment. Now car doesn't overheat, but is running bad. It has no power esp when cold. Water still boos in reservoir. Thermostat was taken back out btw. It almost feels like something is clogged and in not getting any gas when i press on the pedal. Also my engine coolant & check engine lights are on. Car ran good besides overheating before vdubg worked o so I think (hope) it may be something simple

That would cause it to run sluggish?
