Pros and Cons between GS series
Looking to buy my girlfriend a Lexus, not sure which one but a 4 Door one. I know I know, what am I thinking? No, this one is actually a keeper. I did a massive job and got paid $50,046.58.
I myself own a 1999 Lexus SC300 and a 1992 Lexus SC300. I'm always into the 2 door style, and I love the older Lexus. Not into the newer models IS, ES, and GX.
Right now she's driving my 1992 Lexus SC300 and I'm fixing her crappy Honda lol. Rebuilding Engine and Rebuilding Transmission.
I know my SC300/SC400 very well, but not much about the GS series. I'm looking at laying down about $15,000 on a GS model, not sure what year yet.
Is there any Pros and Cons from what year to what year? GS300/GS400 is what I'm looking at these next few days. Willing to travel 500 Miles away to make a deal on a Mint condition one, not looking for any molested one, lowest mileage would be best along with pure bone stock as it can be.
She does love my 1992 Lexus SC300

for 15,000 you could pick up the same model year GS300 (93-96) and do a 2jzgte swap with a fully rebuilt motor. They are way cheaper than the sc300's even though they share everything identical. The second gen gs300's are way more expensive, have the same vvti motor your 99 does, and in some ways people feel they are more luxurious but I prefer the 1st gen.
