Default Idle Air Control Valve Problems

I have been having high idles issues with my 94 GS. It idles at about 1300-1500 rpm in park and neutral and about 1000 rpm when in gear. I can tap on the IAC Valve and the idles drops to where it should be so I know problem is in the valve itself but a new one costs about almost $300. Just wondering if anyone has ever rebuilt one or broken one down to see what breaks inside of them? Maybe a rebuild kit or something? Any information would be awesome!!!

On my 95 accord I had with a h22 swap I had similar issues. I took mine out and cleaned it and it did fine.

I found this website it goes through an entire rebuild. I did the rebuild last night but I haven't started the car yet to see if it work because I ripped the intake boot so I have to pick one up today. I will update the results tomorrow.
