Just got her (1994 gs300)
Bought her two weeks ago for 2000 ,changed the brakes and rotors because the old ones were real bad,its been working perfectly .i took it to a lexus mechanic specialist to get an inspection and they mostly told me about 4 leaks that add up to 5000 dollars ,they told me the most important one is in the power steering ,ill post up the list later ,i really don't wanna let her go ,im willing to learn to see if i can get all these issues fixed up.

Congrats on the purchase. You should post some pics of it. These cars a really simple to work on. You can save a ton of money doing the work yourself with a basic set of tools!!

Those prices might have been taken the automotive big book of labor, but I wouldn't pay that personally.
The power steering/high pressure hose job is really not that hard. If you have the tools it can be done in less than a day.
The valve cover leak can easily be handled especially if it is the valve cover gasket. The gasket itself is $5 to $7
on www.rockauto.com assuming that is where the leak is coming from.
There are places here in expensive southern California that can do the timing cover, water pump, and front engine seal for ~$300 to $400 and up.
The lower ball joints I had done for ~$120 for the front left and front right combined. You may want to shop around your area for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinions. Another last resort I have done in the past with my previous cars was to look for good automotive trade schools, and junior colleges that have automotive programs and have them provide the labor while I provide the parts. All that that was required of me was to pay a $35 - $45 lab fee and bring the parts.

Thank you so.much! Yeah those prices look to.me. on the expensive side and no wonder it discouraged me to own the car ,but like you said ill find alternatives to fixing it and someday ill get to the fun part of lowering it and getting some nice rims for it lol

re mechanic suggestion
I would get a good set of tools. Search hear and youtube for DIY for each problem and try to fix some of these issues yourself. There are not easy but not overly difficult with some time. You can probably fix them with just being a little patient and if you do it this way you will learn more about the 2jz platform.
