Break lights on???
today my break lights came on 2 times, each for like 1-2 seconds. first time i came on was when i applied the breaks. the 2nd time when i accelerated hard my break lights came on again. Yes my footbreak has been released?? any idea why?? is it because my pads are getting thin?

Are you talking about the brake light sensor in your instrument panel?
I may be wrong but it may be that one of your brake light bulbs is out? I have never had a brake light bulb to blow and until just a few months ago never had a headlight bulb to blow either. Now, fog lights... that's another issue.

Hmm.. not sure why it is coming on and off.
Have you ever taken your rear rotors off? If so you will notice an assembly for the emergency (hand/brake) behind them. Setup is like conventional drum brakes however these engage by pushing against your inner disc brake rotor. I don't remember seeing a sensor in that area, but it is possible that the cable which engages/disengages these brakes is malfunctioning. You can also pull the rotor off to check if the brake shoes are too low.
Hopefully i am finally getting around to your question.

maybe the parking brake linkage needs to tightened because the rear brakes are wearning away. Or maybe the parking brake pedal doesn't go all the way up, so oil it at its pivot point so it moves all the way up.

Jmai,
Check your brake fluid reservior and make sure the level is above the min. line. As your brake pads wear, the brake fluid level in the reservior drops. You may just need to add a bit.
