Default Supra Brake Upgrade

Have any of you first geners upgraded to the Supra TT brakes? Does the upgrade use all the same parts as for GS400 upgrade? What about the SS brake lines? Contemplating the conversion and need some info before I buy the parts. Thanks.

While we're on this topic, how many of you guys that have done the Supra TT brake conversion have ended up with some "shimmy" in the brakes...like if you had a "warped" rotor?

is that a common problem with the upgrade?

That's one of the problems...but I have also heard from other places that quite a few people have been "warping" their rotors. Most likely, this is caused when you don't break in your brakes properly....some people also tend to "sit" on the brakes after a hot run (which can cause you to create a "hot spot")...

Some people have been attributing it to the fact that the Supra TT rotors aren't all that thick (28mm I believe) compared to other systems (like AP, Brembo, etc.) that are 32mm to 34mm)...but I'm not sure if that's the problem...I'm just trying to get more feedback from people.

I'm interested on this because I'm trying to figure the "perfect" combination of parts for the brake kit we're developing. As of right now, we're using a 13" 32mm wide directionally vented rotor (that will be slotted and crossdrilled)...while we are going to do real world testing (I'm going to ABUSE the hell out them on the track!), I want to get as much info up front as possible.

If this Supra TT problem is common, I want to figure out WHY it happens...

I really need to know guys. Mostly I'm concerned about the brake line from the supra calipers fitting the first gen GS. Please help with any info you have. Thanks.
