transmission swap

SC400 never came with a manual, so he must be talking about an automatic to automatic. Although theoretically they should be the same transmission, the shift linkages might be different and the bell houses for SURE will be. I've never been knowledgeable of the autos

Hi yes it would be Automatic to Automatic. there is a guy selling a transmission out of a 1996 Lexus SC 400 and said the number on transmission is A341E and what to know if it would fit my 1994 GS 300 since I am having issues with it shifting hard when I put into gear and also just now started noticing it shift harder going down the road

yes it will work. It was made by Aisin and Borg Warner as a former joint venture (Aisin Warner) and yes it is the same in both vehicles.
click on the A341E link.
