what type of bolt on parts are you talking about? let's see.....
exhaust - 10hp the most
headers - 15hp the most
intake - 5-7hp
plug wires - hmmm, skeptical....not sure...maybe 5hp??
stock resonators out - maybe 7hp
what else is there???

I think the one of the most important things to remember about mods, bolt on or otherwise, is that they do not add power in the increments listed when used in conjunction with other mods. In other words, a exhaust with a listed increase of 10hp, and a intake with a listed increase of 15hp does not equate to a increase of 25hp!! in most cases, it will be 18-20 or something like that. I know that it varies by engine, but i have seen dyno figures in various tuner mags (when i was a sport compact FIEND) to support this!
Indy- You GOTTA put some 20s back on the car man!! The kit is trying to overpower the wheels, I was looking a pic with the all white and the Brabus yesterday, and the car looked perfect!! And I dont even like body kits!!!

GS400???? Ha, my brothers bone stock Avalon walks away from me repeatedly!! The other day I was on the Meritt Pkwy and a 98 328 manual, came from behind me and passed me!! That is really infuriating when I have my foot to the floor!!! Ima just by a supra turbo, and a really long cord to PULL my car, so that I can go fast and ride in style!!
INDY-To be honest, I dont think I have ever had a good thing to say about a 1st gen with a kit, until I saw that pic with the brabus!!! I like clean simple cars, with large wheels, suspension, and lighting mods. (like my own or Din's SC300). I think that although your kit is pretty low, its also pretty PLAIN, which is a GOOD thing for a Lexus. Too many cars like ours have overly aggressive or rice kits!! I gotta ask you though, why switch the tails, sometimes I wish my car was a lighter color just to show them off!! Also the Brabus wheels were a good choice, because they dont even BELONG on that car, so that makes it stand out, plus you dont have to worry about seeing another car with them (unlike my MTV Cribs rims!!-damn I want some new wheels yesterday!!). Overall that is a good job, simply because its clean, and that is no easy feat on a 7yr old car!! (Damn our rides are gettin old huh?)
