Default Trust MX Exhaust

Does anyone have the Greddy MX Exhaust? How does the muffler sound? I'm looking for a deep/quite muffler.

This isn't going to help but RMM makes a sweet polished can exhaust too. It puts 20 BHP to the gs4 with an intake but who knows with the gs3. I'm looking to do this at the end of the month as well. Anyone in the know?

I had the GReddy Cat-back system on my car for ONE day. It was just too loud for me. When cruising, it was OK. But when I accelerate (pressing the gas pedal), it would get very loud inside the cabin. Even with the radio on pretty loud, it was still giving me a head-ache. Also, I noticed I lost some low-end power. When I accelerated from a stop, the car was just dragging until it hit about 40mph. I was told that I needed other mods (i.e. Intake) to correct this problem.

I just didn't want to deal with all that.

The GReddy/Trust is alright, but it is loud and prone to the symtoms described above. I would lean toward the RMM or the Veilside Titanium. Both of these are mufflers only. The reason being is the stock exhaust piping is sufficient for all but the completely tuned out 300s. I personally run Tanabe Hyper Medallion. It is a cat back, but I didn't use the piping, I just used the mufflers and I get a great, deep sound. Kinda like a subdued Camaro.

Thanks for the replies KTS and Rico. Those RMM cans looks hot. I'll check out the tanabe and veilside as well. The last thing I want is an annoyning tone but the rear of the GS needs some bling.

why not just polished muffler tips then?? they're like $20/each at checker/Schucks/Kragen.
I'm having difficulty understanding what other peoples opinions on "annoying tone" are.

Good point.

definition: "Annoying Tone"

"the sound of a Kia Sephia that is heard 20 seconds before it is seen and it is still going 18 MPH trying to escape the swarm of bees attacking it"

After installing the Greddy MX Exhaust, as mentioned by previous owners, the exhaust is pretty loud. Has anyone installed a silencer for this exhaust? Should I just removed the canister and replace with an alternative universal exhaust? i.e. Veilside? or any other brand while using the greddy muffler from the cat to the canister? Opinions are welcome...

My vote's for just replacing the rear mufflers. On my car I just had some Bomz N1 style mufflers weld up (please no flames... at least hear/see them first). Sure they don't get the same "oohs" and "ahhs" as a can with "Veilside" or "Apexi" written on the side, but they look and sound damn clean. It's a nice deep tone with no nasty interior resonance.
