Default fuel filter

has anyone ever replaced fuel filters on yr car? if, how many are they? i know for a fact that there is one located below the left rear door, underneath actually your stock side skirt. how many miles do we supposed to replace fuel filters? any clue? tks for any advice.........

You're right, there is only one fuel filter and it is located under the left rear door. I change mine every 60k miles. For some reason, Lexus techs told me numerous times that it does not need to be replaced, but that is B.S. Filters get clogged and do not clean themselves.

Make sure you get the right wrenches and have them ready...... the fuel continues to stream out from the tank when the filter is off..... I gently jammed a pencil into the line coming off the fuel tank.The wood expanded and it sealed the leak. Much better than raw gasoline running into your armpit... Nasty!

214,000km.... Never replaced the fuel filter... Never had a problem..(knock on wood)

i bought my fuel filter a while ago.....but been slackin' on putting it in. i'll definitely get it in this spring.

mine was in the $10 range....+/- a couple bucks......OEM Toyota filter from lexus dealership

I changed the fuel filter in my V8 Mustang after about 65,000 miles, absolutly no difference in power or fuel economy, but since it only cost $10 there's no loss except your time.

P.S. You should really find the fuel shutoff vale before messing with gas underneath your car (What if someone drops a cig.).
