I have a 94 gs300 that has luckily reached 260,000 miles with regular maintenance and no major issues.But I'm looking into buying a complete engine from Japan off line.But I'm not seeing any of the 2jz engines for the 1st gen gs300 So my question is can the 98 and up 2jz work in the 1 gen gs300 without any major issues?Also this is the engine I was looking at.

How soon are you looking to buy? I have a 1996 GS300 with 46,000 miles and I will be doing an Aristo swap soon.
I expect the engine to be out in the next 1-2 months as I am still gathering all the parts for my swap. You'll also get the benefit of the 5spd auto that came in the 96-97 cars as well as the fact that the engine is USDM and in Texas (Houston).

Not to be mean, or be an *** to lev00221, But 91fox94gs3, if you don't know, the 5speed autos that came out of the 96-97 era are not known for their reliability. IF they break, then you won't be able to swap in the previous years 4speeds.

As far as 2jzgte's. Just do a search at any of the JDM import websites. 2JZ's are extremely common. What you want is the 2jzgte with the FRONT sump. The rear sumps come out of supra's.
