Default Brake Problem

Guys has anyone ever experienced this problem. When I step on the brake my lights dim, and I can hear a clicking noise through my stereo. So for instance I can pat my brake with the music and tap along as my lights dim. Guys help me out with this.

Thanks,

Kareem

The same happens to my car, but I don't think it affects my radio - mines an after market one, the head light seem to dim a little. I think it the power that being used between all the brake lights on the back and the server trying to keep the pressure up in the brakes. Just a thought.

Clean your battery terminals and connectors. I had this problem a while back.

I do have an aftermarket stereo, but I don't think that's the problem, because when the bass hits I have no dimming problems. Only the ones associated with the brakes. Can someone with a Optima Yellow Top respond to this problem. I had one in my Mustang and it worked wonders.

Default Common issue.

Seminole,
It's a common issue with our cars, cleaning the battery terminals will help, but you will still see slight
light dimming when you press your brakes. If you can find an old issue of "Car and Driver", you will
see that they noticed this problem in the car, when they reviewed it brand new. I don't remember exactly
what the problem was, but it had something to do with the wiring of the car. It's nothing serious though.
Clean the batter terminals, as minh suggested, and it will get better.

Thanks for the heads up guys, especially Rover. I will try that on Monday and see if there's any change. I always felt it was just a little wiring problem.
