Default Speedometer Needles Dead, Anyone Fixed?

guys, my uncle's gs3 has the dead red speedometer needles that most first gen gs3's have. my question is does anyone of you know how to fix this? i heard before it was the caps that needed to be replaced that was powering the needle's led's. thanks guys.

if you have the electrical know-how, you could attempt to fix it yourself, but i think it's safe to say that the majority of us still have semi-dead to dead speedo needles . the other option is to buy the whole speedo/tach assembly for $300-$400 from the dealer because they do not sell "just" the needles .

do a search for a company called lexusdash, or something like that, they will fix. When I noticed a 1cm tip of one of my gauges going, I took it to the dealer and had it fixed, imagine that on a 7yr old car!!

Yeah the same thing here. during the day my speedo blinks some, but at night its fully lite up. I have heard it cost about 3 to 4 hundred to fix, but until it goes all the way out i will deal with it.

Default here's the info

You can give this a try. I think this is the solution but as of yet my needles have not failed so I can't say for sure if it works.
