Need HELP! Does the 96 GS300 have a 6 or 12 disc changer??

The reason I ask is because I have a 96 and the 6 disc cartridge does not fit and it is a Lexus changer. Please help!

My 94 gs has a 12 cd changer. I would imagine you would have 12 as well..

When I open the CD changer there is a plate (sort of) there. Is it supposed to be like that until I get a cartridge to put in there? How much do they cost? Thanks, for the info!
