Default What would work for this?

What exhaust would work? I want to keep the stock look and do not want a cannister type.

Well if you want to keep the offsetted tip look (to use the stock hanger points), then you can go with the Stainless Steel (or standard) oval mufflers and then just add some tips (magnaflow sells tips too).

www.magnaflow.com

Universal Stainless Steel Mufflers...

Universal Aluminized Mufflers...
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/universal/oval.htm

Double Walled Tips...
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/tips/doublewall.htm

You'll have to look at the engine side of the mufflers to see if you have a offset/offset muffler or a offset/center muffler....

ok, here's the deal with the magnaflow mounting. you can go with the stock hanger points but the exhaust tips will be in to much. so you have to remove the tow hooks and have the mufflers welded back a bit toward the rear of the car so it can look right. it's not just plug and play so to speak. but very dueable.....

I think if he uses a 7.25" tip and have the muffler mounted as far back as possible (towards the bumper, but not too close!), it should be ok....how long is the stock tip from the very outer tip to the part where it actually goes into the muffler?

Just find some nice chrome tips that you really like, take them to a good welding shop, have them cut off the old ones and weld up the new ones. That'll retain the stock look.
