If it's rough and rusty, rub it lightly with steel wool until it is smooth. Then get a rag and some metal polish and rub it back and forth along the length of the pipe. Then get a clean cloth and wipe away the polish. If it isn't as shiny as you like it, keep polishing it with the rag. They should look pretty new when you are done. I also polished the joint...it really shines

That place looks awfully familiar to me. Is it at Rowland Height area, close to Danny's?

I know he told he that he was drinking some Coke, but I'm wondering if there's a little rum in there too

Thanks Eric! Um , did you craw underneath to do it or did you lift up the car?

Lifted it with a jack. And since I was down there, I cleaned and spray-painted the spare wheel tub and the lower control arms. I also cleaned up the differential too.

SouthernSun, I wonder how it would look if the mufflers were painted flat black. Is there any way you can photoshop it so we can take a look?

SSGS took a spy shot on our way to Speedway Muffler. As you can see. The mufflers are still noticeable from the back. Painted flat black, they'd be extremely stealthy. It's a good idea.
