ok i find that once in a while when i come to a stop, especialyl after getting off the freeway my engine check light will come on for like 5 seconds and my rpm will lower and go up and down in a 300rpm range and then the engine check light will go away and everything will be fine again. has anyone had this problem before?? what could it be. could it be an EGR valve. last time i had my engine check light check it was the O2 sensor(which was replaced) and the egr valve which was not replaced but cleaned.

Jmai, what's up, bud.
No, it's not the EGR. If it was you would have gotten TRAC OFF light as well.
And EGR valve would not influence your RPMs.
It could be the fuel valve or the O2 sensor wore off again. Those things have
a tendency to go once in a while. I'd take it to a dealer, I know it's costly but
better be safe than sorry.
Most likely though, it is your TPS (throttle positioning sensor), now this bad boy
would be responsible for your RPMs, especially after your were going fast and
then you slowing down to the in-town driving.
Just my .02

Also Leets had a very good point, "check your vacuum lines."
And keep us updated on what happens.
