Default question on swaps?

lets say i get a 2jzgte swap in a gs and at the time the shop couldnt put a mannual tranny in it so the put an auto. can i swap the tranny later to a mannual tranny?

Have you ruled-out the NA-T route? If so, why? You can do a valve body upgrade on the GSs auto tranny and add, of course, a tranny cooler which might be easier depending on what your goals are. It should handle 350hp without modification according to other sources.

i havent even have the car or an engine but my expectations when i get my hands on it do the swap and put the 800 hp turbo kit on it look so i just wanted to know wat my options are

Has some details about NA-T conversion and also note that there is a link to someone selling a book on how to install a supra TT motor. It's all for the SC, but better than nothing.

There are hundreds of threads just like it on CL and supraforums but unfortunately none in the 1st gen GS forum.
