Car cranks but won't start after battery disconnect
Hi everyone,
Long story short, it looks like I've made a beginner mistake on my 1st gen GS300. I disconnected the battery for at least a day while I was doing mechanical work on the engine. Put everything back together perfectly, checked everything was done right, and when I was finally ready to start it up, the car cranks but doesn't start.
Ruled out any mechanical failures as my parts (plugs, bogies and petrol pump) are still new. Air is also flowing well, so either no spark or fuel. The issue can only be electrical? I checked to make sure the ECU is fine as well, had another mechanic take a look and he confirmed also that there can't be any mechanical issues.
Someone told me these GS300's have a security feature which prevents the car from starting after a battery disconnect? The security light goes off when I put the key in but I don't know if that would disable such a feature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't fork out any more money for an auto-electrician to come help me...
Cheers

I've taken out my battery or disconnected it for weeks and its fine when I plug it all back together. Perhaps you blew a fuse when putting the connectors back on? Check all fuses under the dash and engine compartment.

I did check the engine fuses, but did not realize there were fuses for the dash. I just found them though, but which fuse in this compartment could be responsible for the engine not starting? The ECU one is definitely fine.
Cheers

You said you were doing mechanical work? If the car is cranking, do you have the ability to roll down the windows? Dash lights? Lock the doors? Unlock? Make sure the battery connections are tight and the battery is fully charged.
If all of that is ruled out, and you've checked all your fuses... It could be a broken wire or bad ecu, bad fuel pump or bad fuel pump ecu, bad distributor? double check all your connections.
This is the fuse connection that is connected with your security system/door locks/windows if you were to blow that your car wouldnt start or roll windows down, probably set off the alarm and such.
I've also had the fuel pump ecu go out in my car and I had to bypass it with my own relays.
