My AM radio (1993 GS300) mysteriously stopped working. Dead silence. FM works fine. Any suggestions?

Could be a grounding issue with your battery, blown radio fuse, or broken internal antenna (inside the radio). Noise is said to give problems but that would create static not silence throughout AM. I've never disassembled the radio's but I assume you could get a replacement unit for pretty cheap and attempt that if your grounding and fuse search comes up empty.

Fuse OK. Given symptoms, service manual suggests it's a defective receiver. As long as FM is OK, I can live with it.
