Default "Touring" class GS

Hey guys, what's up. I saw a first gen GS today, and it was the second time I've seen it, first time was at Bestbuy, today I saw it driving. I just wondered if this guy was on the site. He obviously put some money into his GS, it's lowered, racing style rims, and a body kit, but the thing that really stood out to me was the emblem on the back that said "touring" or something like that. Now I know more about ES' and SC's but were there any first gen GS' that said "touring". I just wondered if it was real or rice, because just looking at it I would think rice, but I don't want to be too quick to judge if some actually did come with a badge like that, it just doesn't seem like Lexus would do that though.

There indeed was a "Touring Edition" available circa 1995. It had different 16" wheels (split 3-spoke with a machined face), and perhaps some suspension tweaks. I've seen a few on eBay. Some have the Touring badge on the right edge of the trunk lid, and I've seen a few that have "Touring" on the black plastic between the tail lights (where the "GS 300" is on the 93-95 cars). I've seen a few threads on this before, check out the "advanced search" and search the 1st Gen subforum.

Touring package did offer 16" 3 split spokes and basically bundled CD/Leather/Sunroof and saved you some money. I think they came 2 tone only.
