Question Electric steering colomn problem

Hi i have a problem whit the steering column
If I put in the key the wheel move’s toword you
But if I turn the key strait a way it will stop doing that
And if I wait till its half way ore so then I can do it and it will go to the spot it suppose to go

Dose any one else have this problem ore no how to fix it
Its not a tereball problem but still its a bit irritating

I'm not sure if mine does that because I guess I was never that fast at turning the key to start her up. Now I just have the motor disabled (by pressing the AUTO button) because I guess it annoyed me.

Bringing a dead thread back here...

So, My column has stopped moving back and forth and only moves up and down now (it's stuck all the way back), when I click the control forward I hear the motor working, it'll click and whir then stop, but it will not move.

I need to fix this! I can't drive like this for much longer before I go crazy!

Take it apart and check it out. I think the column itself only has a few bolts that will get the plastic off then youd be able to see the motor..I think, Ive never been in there.
