Default Blow off valve location

Yo I need some advise, I'm almost finished with the build, my question is should the blow off be on hot or cold side or does it even matter?? I'm thinking it will release the excess regardless of position. Just need some guidance here, thanks!

I've seen it done both ways, you just don't want the boost to be hitting your throttle body when you let off the gas right? As long as you have an adequate sized blow off valve then it will discharge the pressure. I've seen them welded to the throttle body where the TRAC valve used to be on USDM supras, and you can see how I did it with my build below. I'm re-circulation because I'm using the stock JZS161 2jzgte vvt-i ecu which requires MAF/MAP and will die when you get off boost if it doesn't see that unmetered air.

Thanks for your input fam. The info provided on this site has been informative. I will post the details of the build once it's done.
