Default Almost traded my car in for an 01 GS300!

Went and looked at a 2001 silver GS300 platinum edition on saturday at Carmax. It had 35k and the price was $26,000 or somethin close to that. The price was there for sure, I really liked the black interior compared to my current GS, it had my 17's in chrome. I just started to look, I wasn't sure if I will get the 430 or just the 300, it was depending on insurance and if I actually fell in love with the V8 when I drove it. It was funny actually we were pullin back up after I went for a test drive and I asked the sales guy just jokin around, pointing to my car, should I or shouldn't I, and hes like I don't know man, I don't think I would your car is nice. I am in no hurry to get a new one but I liked it, and I had them appraise my car for the hell of it, they told me they would give me 8k for it, I just kinda laughed. So I am kind of in route to buyin something soon, I am just going to put my car up for sale soon with or without the mods and see what happens. Its weird the exterior doesn't doesn't make me fall in love with the newer GS's compared to mine but the interior does.

I know exactly how you feel bro, how many miles do you have on your car? I would probably just try to get more $$ for the trade in and save yourself alot of headache that comes with personal selling!! Plus if you trade it in, you can just transfer your plates, insurance, etc which would save you time, money, etc. I say go for the 01, I know I would!

Default New One

I got 80k on my car, just turned the other day. I would trade it in for no less than 12k if I took the wheels off and the TV and put the stock stuff back in, then that is another $2500 or so for ***** I could sell or would save me on the new one. It was Carmax, so there is no negotiating there with the prices or values. I'll see what happens, got a Vegas trip this week (would much rather be spendin that $$$ on a new GS but) stuck goin now, and I am switchin my career within the next month so will wait a little while. I own the car cause I refinanced and I only owe Citibank like 5-6 grand on my Car I can chill out on my $500 a month payments if I need to if my new job starts out slow, I won't be hurtin tryin to pay for a car. Can't decide on a color though, I love silver but I see alot of them in the Chicago area and I think my other option is pearl white, am gonna be drivin the car a lot, got to get a low maintenance color, black or blue would drive me nutts. By spring for sure I will have somethin new........
