Smile 2JZ GE/GTE Speced with CD009 frankenstein

Hi.
This is the first time i "build" and engine or a car at all Im in the process of building a 2JZ GE for my GS300 since in my country i cant legally buy, import or put an engine in the car withouth payting 3/4x time the cost of one so im building my GE to "match" a GTE: GTE Cylinder head, valve covers, oil pump, piston oil squirters, etc but with forged pistons, rods, BC cams and a 6 Speed Nissan CD009 etc.. the goal is to make a very balanced 500WHP car for the street that i can use daily despite the fact i wont be doing that.

So my question are should i buy an Aristo ECU and use a piggyback ECU? or a Standalone with a Aristo ECU working together if thats possible or GS stock ecu with piggyback or with a Standalone ecu working together? Do i sacrifice something by going with the aristo one other than the Traction control?
Also is there a way of going FULL Standalone like a Fueltech FT600 while retaining AC, ABS, Fuel gauge properly working?

Thanks in advance.

Your stock ECU + standalone is the best combination. Standalone essentially does all the work with regards to the engine, the stock ECU keeps the rest of the car happy. Boomslang Fabrication makes plug & play harnesses to install many ECU brands, including Fueltech.

Hi thanks for replying. One more question, in the case i mentioned that im building a 2JZ GE to match a 2JZGTE but with forged internal will i be able to keep the stock GS300 ECU working together with a Standalone with the boomslang adapter since the Standalone will make all the engine managment or will i still need to buy an Aristo ECU put it in and then conect it together with the standalone with the boomslang?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any advantage to using an Aristo ECU here. Aside from the aspects of the engine that will be controlled by the standalone ECU, the rest of the car's systems will look for the original ECU.

I'm excited to see this thread is new. I just got an Aristo a few days ago and in process of doing something very similar!

Im looking into MAXXECU Race. I know of a Supra owner that currently has a Fueltech FT550 and is looking into switching to the MAXXECU.

I was considering a 5 speed R154 manual transmission and I'm only hearing of the CD009 today.

I'm researching what turbo, wastegates, manifolds, intercooler, clutch and all else needed. Please share what you find and I'll do the same!
