Hello,
I recently had an issue with the alarm/remote locks.

Story:
I went to lock the door and set the alarm, but my son didn’t shut the door or roll up the window. So I tried to do the window up feature from the passenger door, which doesn’t work. I went to the driver door and rolled up the window with the key.

On return the door didn’t unlock with the remote. I unlocked the door with the key and the alarm went off. This was the event that caused the problem.

Problem:
Key fob doesn’t work, and unlocking the car with the key, the alarm goes off.

Solution:
disconnect the battery cables and touch them together to reset the car.

Worked right away.



To inspect the No 1 ECU (controls the alarm and doors).
