Door handle problem
OK here is the problem. A ex of mine got mad at me and slammed my driver side door hard.
Now the handle socket is loose on one side from the rest of the door panel. Not bad but I am afraid it will get worse. Any suggestions? Should I get some epoxy and just glue it back? Any one know how is held on there?

What do you mean loose.....loose as in broken or one of the screws or clips need to be tightened or reclipped?
Maybe a picture of where the looseness is would help determine a solution.

Here is the pic, any help will be appreicated. Think I am just going to take it too the dealer. I don't want to fool with taking the door panel off. I have to get this fixed. I don't want water getting down there or the handle messing up some day.

I'm sorry to tell you that your door handle may be broken.
There are three bolts that hold the handle / keylock together. Trust me...i've done my share of replacing handles....i'm on the 6th passenger side handle....this is a weakness in the GS...thieves can get in real easy by popping in the keylock without tripping the alarm.
Anyway...as i was saying...there are two bolts that hold the handle to the frame and the keylock cylinder as well. There is one more bolt on the other side of the handle.
Since your girlfriend slammed the door hard...i reckon she broke the cast iron metal that holds the handle to the frame of the car.
As a last possibility, the metal bushing sleeve that the bolts screws into the handle is normally fused to the handle. The sleeve may have separated itself from the handle.
Either case, you're looking at a few hundred bucks of damage if you have to replace the handle. They come from the factory prepainted to the factory colors and usually take a few days to get as they are not in stock.
If you're mechanically inclined, you can do the repair / swap yourself. It is not that difficult but the inside door panel needs to be removed and plastic sheating pried back to get access to the three bolts of the handle.
Let me know how you make out!

GS4fun, tell me about it. I was so distraught to find that my key lock had been pushed in, and the car broken in to without the alarm going off. An area that they need to improve upon.

Good thing it isn't your money or else I'd be pissed.

Yep $82 to tighten a screw or replace it. But they did have to take the door panel off, which if done improperly, can cause major problems or malfunctions.
That's why I went to the dealer since, theoretically , they know what they are doing.
Gonna get my reinbursement on her next payday anyway. If not well, lets just say revenge is a dish best served cold.
