Vlite users, I need a bit of info
Hey there,
I am having a weird problem with my VLite unit and I would like to see how common it is, since support guys could not replicate it, when we were trying to address it last time.
I find it kinda strange, since it happens to me almost every single time, so here it is:
When I start my GS- head uint does not go to "VLite mode" automatically, but rather has to be put in it manually, with a "Audio" button click. But then the image is dim, like maybe 30% of the brightness.
It can only be fixed by switching to other audio source, or turning audio off and back on (I usually do that, with a double-press of volume ****)
Sometimes the image is pink
Do you guys see anything similar in your cars?
At this point I am thinking it could be head unit thing, like some "badly compatible" firmware revision or whatever.

I am currently very happy with a VLite.
At first it was a little buggy, but most of the issues are resolved by now, and my experience right now is very close to perfect 👌🏻
Support is very responsive and dedicated to resolving any troubles you might be facing
Still is an old head unit, so resolution is not that great for modern interface like CarPlay, touchscreen is a little low on frequency, so you basically can’t do any swipes, only direct button presses.
But keeping the interior nice and stock, without ugly aftermaket stuff- is totally worth those trade offs for me.
