Default Someone please help!!!!

I got a 03 gs300 trunk latch doesnt work. no the valet lock is not on. The driver side end of the switch is getting 5v. same on the rear at the actuator. i literally can’t find any info anywhere i look. i’ve gone through 3 actuators trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with it. when i give it 12v it blows the actuator. ive taken the switch apart and mirrored it exactly, nothing. i’ve tried tapping 12v sources like the fuel door and cigarette lighter, nothing. i’ve tried going straight from the battery with an inline fuse and an aftermarket button, grounded to the chassis everything solid, and boom actuator blown. i can’t find anything in regards to relays, fuses or anything in that matter. i’ve followed the wires through the entire car and there’s no visible damage or any cause for concern as to why it would be at 5v. i don’t have the time or money to take it to a dealer. I’m looking for any advice at all or any directions to any info. thanks

Have you tried giving the actuator 5V instead of 12V?

Can you describe more specifically what happens to them when the actuators "blow"?

Yes, sorry for the delayed response. regardless of the source it would burn the motor out almost instantly
