Gamma - I would assume that you would have the stock threaded holes and all you would need to buy are the botls and nuts from the Lexus dealer.

BlueLex - The TRD brace works great! I could definitely feel the effects...tighter steering, more control and all this for $130...

Yeah I went in my garage and popped my hood and I lookd I have 4 threaded bolts sticking out. But wheres my engine cover? Maybe the previous owner took it off and forgot to put it on.

98-99 had no engine cover for the GS300. Correct me if 2000 didn't have one either.

I believe 2000 did get one. As for trying to put one on ones that did not come with, it does not work. Someone in the past has tried to and came back unsuccessful. I can' t remember the details but some search work should turn up the thread.

The CF cover that KVA just got won't work in earlier cars either. I did check with IPT awhile back since I wanted one for my GS3 too. They claim 2002+ only.

Best way to find out if one would work is to "borrow" one from another GS or IS and see if it fits. The IPT cover sits a lot lower than the stock cover...If you were in LA (CA), I would let you try it out.

Hey, I may be down in SoCal with my car after Xmas for some work at TM. Maybe we can hook up and test this out for the sake of other inquiring minds.

I think the intake is different for the cars with the covers. There was a post some time ago when several of us were thinking about doing it. If you find a way though post it up
