January 6, 2004 - First look at new GS?
From a blurb I saw on the official Lexus website, looks like the first view of the new GS is likely to be January 6, 2004. If you browse through the virtual tradeshow section of the Lexus website, there is a little news blurb on one of the banners that says:
Coming January 6, 2004
Watch the Detroit Press Event Live. See the world debut of a new Lexus sedan plus an update on the new RX hybrid.
Thats about all it says, but you can see for yourself at
http://www.lexus.com/autoshow/liveca...htm?zone=page4
After you click that link, hit "Archived Videos" and look at the top banner.
This HAS to be the first REAL look at the new GS, what else could it be? What do you think?

Well I live 7 minutes where the auto show will be, Cobo Hall. Trust me I will have plenty of pics and info. If any one would like me to grab them some brochures let me know because I will grab alot. The Lexus display at the Detroit Auto Show lets you get a little further into the realm of Lexus if you have your keys.

New GS
By the way, if you go to that official Lexus site I referenced above, you can watch the event LIVE via streaming video. So you can drool (or gag) right as it is unveiled!
I will have both a matress by my chair in case I fall off of it, as well as a barf bucket in case it goes that way. I have a hunch I will need the matress, not the bucket!

I EXPECT NOT ONLY PICS but get them to let ya TEST DRIVE IT
I ain't gonna lie, I am actually anticipating this new car. I've NEVER done this before. This is weird. It really has it's work cut out:
1. New E-class
2. New 5
3. New A-6 is coming
4. New S-type is coming
5. We've seen the new M45 aka Nissan Fuga
I am sure it will be a techno tour de force.
BTW, those electric brakes have gotten bad reviews all over. No one likes em. Plus, with a hybrid, the brake energy is used to re-charge the battery. Not sure how much more complicated this would be with an electric brake. Or maybe it will be easier? I dunno
