ballpark figure for that engine + transmission shipped from Japan should be less than USD5000

I also believe that the Aristo TT has a 4A/T

By the way, USD5000 would probably not be enough to get one engine shipped to the US.
Do not forget that that the Yen has been appreciated compared to the USD.

I would expect that the cost runs into the USD6000.

Used 2JZ-GTEs for Aristos are being sold on Japanese auction sites for about 200000~300000 yen. Comverted to USD it's still under 2000~3000 USD. Just depends on who buys it and who earns profit in the middle. Best thing to do is go to Japan and pick one yourself with help of some Japanese translator or someone

Between 2-6k US would be a pretty good deal I think, especially with the strong euro.
However I would need a steady income before pulling the trigger on something like this.

Richie,

Finding and buying the engine is ..... a PITA at worst.

Shipping the engine to Holland ---- also a PITA at worst.

But shoehorning it into your car, connecting it, and then making it work ...... now that's where the challenge (and the most costs!) lay ....
