Default dang! someone backed into my headlights

Someone just backed into my headlights with their bumper while I was sitting in the car and now I got a Big hole on my headlight glass.

Can I just replace the glass or I've to replace the whole headlight????

Yoiu will have to replace the whole headlight, but in all actuallity, YOU wont have to replace anything, as it will be THEIR insurance that foots the bill for this one. You did get their insurance information, right?

That isn't always the case, I know that even some states have no fault laws.. so I am sure that other countries may have different types of laws.. Sorry about your car Aristor.. best of luck getting it fixed

That sucks man. But accidents do happen. It was the other person's fault but its not like he meant it. Hopefully he is a good person and will work out with you. Good luck.

that definately bites Aristor......but hey just get their insurance to pay you for a new light but then go buy a used light off someone in the MARKETPLACE forum or ebay and use the lens. =)

but if he/she backed into you hard enough to break the lens im thinkin atleast one of the tabs on the housing is cracked or broken?

in any event sorry to hear about the inccident, but its an easy fixer

Default So, the curse is still out there....

Sorry to hear about your headlight man. I hope the other dude will pay and fix it for you.

Yesterday, I went to have a haircut. When I came back I noticed a big scratch at my GS's front passenger door. It was keyed deep enough, about 3 inches long. My suspect was a green BMW 540i that was parked beside me and he's gone. What a ******!!!!!

Hi Aristor,
did not hear from you for a long time.

Yes, you can just replace the glass or headlight cover. However, you need to be sure which color you currently have. I heard that there are several different colors, like plain white/clear, greenish, black chrome.

Actually you did a mod on the headlights where you painted them black right, so all you have to do is get another one of ebay heat it up and replace the outer 2 lenses. That way you dont have to repaint another one.

Actually I have replaced mine with the black chrome headlights.

Not too expensive. I think they were about USD200 per side. Cannot remember exactly

We're gonna settle this with cash cos' didn't really wanna claim insurance. Also just want to replace the lens cos' didn't want to go through the process of painting the inners again.

HKGS300 - Alex, I 'm gonna give you a call soon cos' I've been out of town and busy at work, "need the money for Mod"

Bro...sorry to hear about that. Go after the guyz insurance to cover it. I hope you filed a police report...in case the buttwipe tries to flake out on you.

Sometimes...its best not to tell your ins. agent about the little things.
