Default Platinum ediiton Gs's all over used car lots

I guess since the leases are up, they have hit the market. These are the platinum edition cars, with lighter wood, diff 16" wheels, platinum badges, and black pearl emblems. They are all over. So for those interested, they are out there, mostly black or pearl white.

Yes, I was looking for a replacement, no I did not get one.

This is helpful info, 1SICKLEX. Thank you. After the new year, I will begin serious shopping for a GS400/430. I'm considering a 2001 GS430 but will settle for a 2000 Platinum GS400 if I can't find one in my price range.

I assume you will be purchasing one to replace your wrecked GS300?

I noticed the same thing - I was looking on AutoTrader at used GS4's and the majority were Platinum.

Wrecked 400

I am not telling anything. BTW, asking prices were great, GS 400s with avg miles from 25-30k for these 2000 Platinum editions.

Also, I have found that NAV equipped GSs are very, very tough to find. Most colors have beige leather, then gray and it seems only black has black leather in the used car lot. Cinnebars are showing up but no blues in Atlanta.

2001 GS 430s are still mid 30s and up...And these were sold in fewer quantaties than GS 400s...

1SICK- good to see u back on the horse man!! U are absolutely right about the nav man, I think I came across 1-2 during my search, and I was on autotrader everyday for 4-5months LOL

Cinny Minny is such a nice color (and rare), if u can get one!! When I found my car I was at a dealer that had a 99 300 in CinnyMinny but it was beat up, so I figured, while I'm here I might as well drive the champagne (another color that I REALLY wanted), and u see what's in the Sig!! LOL

Can't wait to see what u get bro!

Default I

You are right..I got mine from CARMAX...
Payed 29,500.00 for 2000 with 37K..Plat edition..HIDs..but no NAV or NAKA..
Eversince then, I have been keeping an eye on CARMAX and they have had 6 more Plats...
The sales guy said they bought the cars from Lexus Auction. All cars are lease returns..mine is too....

For a black interior, how about Millenium Silver exterior (or not interested in silver)? Most of the Millenium Silver '00 Platinum's I've seen for sale online seem to have the black leather, however, I haven't been keeping track of what percentage have NAVI.

It sure is true about the NAV, It took me almost a full year to find the right GS400 with Nav, and I'm glad I held out for one.

I originally believed more of the early cars had navigation, but not so. Cheers.

Default Platinum Edition's

I have narrowed my search to 2000 silver GS300 platinum editions or just an 01 silver with black interior. I found a 00 platinum edition everything I wanted in my price range the other day and went to test drive it today. It had only 26k and it was a CPO they were asking $26995. It was decently clean, had some scratches here and there, just one bad one on the hood I would have to have fixed but in that price range I thought I still may be able to get it somehow. But its not gonna happen, they told me the best absolute best price they could give me for my 95 GS (with the stock wheels and stock equipment back in) was $7000 tellin me $6500 maybe an extra nickel, oh well I mean I still like my car but would prefer a new one but just can't give it away.

I just bought my 2001 GS last week and I test drove about 5 2000 Plat Ed. and though they are gorgeous cars I really wanted a 2001 or newer. They are everywhere here , especially in the Beige and Black exteriors. There are also plenty of white ones available here.
