So they are unveiling the finalized version, the one we will see on the streets, the one we will be able to buy? They better not just unveil the silver LF-S we keep seeing.

 

Any CL member going to the 2004 North American Intl. Auto Show in Detroit?

Take and post pics of the new GS and RX hybrid if possible.

 

i keep posting so hopefully someone from our borad will b there and take inside and out pics of the whole car...guyus we need u ....

I kinda understand what u guys mean but i blv it distinctly states that a new GS sedan will be unveiled.

In any case..the LA auto show is here b/w JAN 2-11... will they show it here???? after detroit because i am planning to go the show.

It would suck if they ended up showing something that "WILL EVENTUALLY" look like the new GS as LF-S has been said to.

 

the thing that throws me off is that some magazines etc. are calling the LF-S the "new" GS.However as I understand it the LF-S is just a prototype design and may change a little bit for production.I hope what they unveil is the car that will say GS430 on the back and be the one that is the real deal production model.

 

well in the first post it says there unveiling the new GS not LFS or what ever!

 

From what I have heard, It would only seem logical that the 2005 GS Sedan will either closely resemble or be identical to the LFS Sedan. The LFS is supposed to coincide with the introduction of the Lexus brand in Japan which is supposed to start in 2005. The concept is to introduce a new car line that doesn't look like any Toyota. And by looking at the pictures of the LFS, I would say that is pretty accurate. I just hope that the LFS gets a major workover before final production. That thing is UGLY. Looks like a baked potato on wheels. If that IS the new GS, I most likely will switch barnds to Infiniti and get a new M45 - that thing is HOT !

 

Next year is a few weeks away boys!

I hear ya man. Im sure as u know they usually take ideas and concepts from "CONCEPT" cars and implement in the new models. I just hope that LF-S is NOT the new GS. If it is im going for Beamer or Infifniti for my next car. AS also stated in the past posts that its goign to be a 3.3 GS330, 4.3 GS430, ALL WHEEL DRIVE(YES!) maybe and a big maybe a HYBRID (which i seriously doubt)
