Default State Inspection whoes

I went in this morning to get the car inspected. I tie wrapped the front plate on..it looked pretty good until one of the ties snapped...I was like WTF. I put tape on the back of the plate at the top so not to scratch the front middle piece of the bumper. I pull up to the station and the guy waves me in and they have a dip that you cant see when you pull in and I hit that a little but not in the back. Then the guy gets in my car and guned it a little to get it to the stop where they plug in to your cars computer. Well I liked to ***** a brick because the front end missed the bump with like a 1/4 in to spare. Then they rolled up to the suspension check and that went well...but the guy gunned it again and I just put new wheels and tires on for the winter and they peeled up the rubber on the suspension tester. I was like "thats what you get"...LOL. Well I passed and just so you guys know here is a pic of my car and you can see how low it is. I think Ima raise it a little like a 1/4 in or a little less.

I'm wondering if they would have been accountable in case of damage?

well i'm glad u passed, it used 2 b easy 2 get inspected in NJ but they changed eveything a couple years ago i remember when i 1st got my car took it stock 4 inspection and the guy gave me a hard times saying the gas cap wasn't tight enough. so i had 2 drive 2 a autozone real quick and buy a new cap and than he passed me...and i hate the front plate issue in northern states, if u have a kit it really sucks...glad i don't have 2 deal with it anymore.. no front plates or inspection here in florida..no nasty sticker on u'r front windshield..

u leave the front plate off normally, u don't get bothered by police 4 not haveing one?

NY requires two plates just like Jersey, the inspection shop was just lax on it.

Im shocked too. I guess being 35 min away from Philly and I drive ok..they havent bothered about it. It will be a year in May. Im glad I took the 20's off they draw too much attention. When you go to inspections you kinda want to get in and out. Im thinkin about moving to Delaware. the inspections are nothing there.
