Question test drive

went to test drive the 1999 gs300 i have my eyes on, everything seems fine front to back however when i got on the freeway and got her around 55 to 60 mph i could feel a little shake in the stearing wheel.....what do you think can be the cause of this?

Front wheels are out of balance.

Sosa,

It's a very common problem with the GS, especially those with 17" wheels. Most solve it with a good alignment & balance with the appropriate torque on the lug nuts when wheels are re-installed.

Try the search feature if you want more information .

VSC- was it on constantly, or only when you were giving it the boot?

Well if the amber "car with squigley lines behind it" was constantly on you have a issue, when you disable the VSC (button that Rominl is talking about), amber TEXT pops ups that says "VSC OFF" or something like that!

BTW- is that Halle Berry and Billy Bon in your Avatar??

Aside from possible out of balance (likely), one of the front wheels may be a little bent. Have it balanced by a Hunter GSP9700 machine for best results.
